The enchanted Vrátna Valley is an ideal winter sport destination, 5 interconnected localities with 14 surface lifts and 2 cable ways, trails with artificial snow, snowboard park and children’s area. It is the venue for many prestigious events.

Vrátna Valley is situated in the Malá Fatra mountains, 600 to 1709 m. Ski Centre Vrátna consists of 5 interconnected localities: Paseky, Poludnový Grún, Príslop, Tižinka and Chleb. There are 120 guaranteed ski days (the 2004/2005 ski season lasted for 127 days) and more than 120 000 visitors during the winter (2004/2005 ski season).

You can choose one of 14 surface lifts and 2 cable ways (chairlift and gondola), the overall transport capacity is 10,454 people per hour.

Ski Centre Vrátna has 10.6 km slopes, 17 ski trails. The new 8-person gondola to Chleb is the novelty for the 2005/2006 winter season and it operates all year long!!! 9 trails are covered by snowmaking at Poludnový Grún, Paseky, Príslop and Tížinka.

You can have fun at night skiing or in snowboard park
with jumps, obstacles and a boardercross track with its own lift. Your kids will enjoy a newly built children’s area at Tížinka or sled trails at Tížinka and Pavlove lúky. If you like wanderings across a beautiful winter country you will welcome the cross-country skiing trails - Chata (hut) Vrátna (4km), Štefanová (6km), Podžiar (8km).

Many ski-alpinist trails across the ridge of the Malá Fatras are the best for freeriders and adrenalin fans. Ski Centre Vrátna is the venue for a number of prestigious and exciting sporting events, such as the European Cup in downhill skiing, Inter Ski Kriterium, and snowboard and freeride competitions.
