Liptovska Mara is a summer recreation centre, based around a dam on the river Váh, which was made from the flooding of 13 villages.

Bešeňová is mainly famous for its unique thermal springs that are used all year round by visitors from all across Europe. However, Besenova is also an excellent base for summer and winter sports, tourism and relaxation.
Situated between the towns of Ružomberok and Liptovský Mikuláš, visitors to Bešeňová are still able to go shopping and enjoy the night life. While the countryside around Besenova allows you the opportunity to do a number of walks or even more challenging mountain hikes.
