Demanovska Cave of Liberty

The most visited show cave in Slovakia, the Demanovska Cave of Liberty, is also one of the most beautiful.

The Cave of Liberty is famous for its sinter waterfalls and stalemates, sphaerolithic stalactites and its many diverse forms of stalactites and stalagmites. The current overall length of the show cave is 1,800 meters.

Demanovska Ice Cave
Only a 1 hour 15 minute drive from Chalupa Ria!

Situated in the Demanovska valley, the Ice Cave is 1,975 m long, although only 650 m of it are open to the public.

Ice filling occurs in the lower parts of the cave. Ground ice, ice columns, stalactites and stalagmites are all present.

Bones of various vertebrates, including cave bears (Ursus spelaeus), which were mistaken for dragon bones in the 18th century, have been discovered here.
